GotCited crawls a site (titles, meta descriptions, headings, JSON-LD schema, robots.txt rules for AI crawlers like GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended, llms.txt and sitemap), infers the business, audience and competitors, generates about 10 buyer-intent questions and asks them to Claude with live web search (more engines planned). It reports brand mentions, competitor mentions, position in the answer, cited sources and a visibility score, then writes prioritised, paste-ready fixes (title/meta rewrites, headings, JSON-LD, llms.txt, robots.txt, FAQ and comparison pages, content gaps) and full articles for questions the site is missing from. It re-checks weekly and charts the score trend.

### Which AI engines do you check?
Today: Claude with live web search, which reads the current web like ChatGPT search and Perplexity do. We'll add more engines (Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity) to the same plan as we switch them on, and we'll say so here when we do.

### Does GotCited help with normal Google rankings too?
Yes. The same signals that get you cited by AI (clear titles and meta descriptions, one strong H1, structured data, FAQ content, comparison pages, a sitemap) are classic on-page SEO. GotCited checks them and writes the fixes.

### Do I need to install a script or connect analytics?
No. GotCited only reads your public pages, robots.txt, llms.txt and sitemap, the same way search and AI crawlers do.

### What is llms.txt?
A plain-text file at /llms.txt that summarises what your site is and links its key pages, so AI assistants can understand you in one fetch. GotCited writes one for you.
